SAIL AWAY TO THE ISLAND OF CAPRI! (Tuesday, 9-14-2021z)

We purchased our tickets to sail away to the island of Capri!

We arrived on the ferry and immediately fell in love with the island!

We packed our bathing suits because we declared this to be our official “Beach Day”!  We were SO EXCITED!  We rented four loungers, four towels and quickly changed into our bathing suits!

Mike ventured in (to his knees)!

John ventured (all the way) in!

Patte (kind of) ventured in!

And me?  Well, my feet were literally SCREAMING AT ME to not walk on those rocks!  The beach was full of rocks where there should have been sand!  The Mediterranean Sea was full of rocks where there should have been sand!  I opted to listen to my feet!

The water was amazingly all different shades of blue.  But those rocks!

We decided to explore the island instead of staying on that rocky beach all day!  And were we glad we did!  We took the funicolare up the mountain to an adorable little village with views to die for!

We found a table right in the midst of all the action, sat down, and enjoyed every bit of it!

Mike found his long lost shop,

and Patte found the sandal shop where Jackie O had custom shoes made!

When we came back down to the mainland, we enjoyed some of the best pasta, pizza, and drinks of the trip!

We walked back to the Ferry and enjoyed the hour cruise back to Napoli!

We all have a hard time remembering our first impression of the street where our Airbnb is located!  What we first thought of as “sketchy” has turned out to be quite charming!  

If you ever get the opportunity, be sure to “sail away to the island of Capris”!  You won’t be sorry!
