ITALY…HERE WE COME! (Tuesday, 8/17/2021)

 

FINALLY and AT LONG LAST John and I, along with my Sister and Bro-In-Law, (Patte and Mike) are on our way to ITALY!!!!  We spent the ENTIRE evening last night taking our COVID tests and uploading the results, as well as our passports and passenger locator forms to United.  Did I mention that we spent HOURS doing this, to no avail?  We kept getting notices that we were “NOT TRAVEL READY” with absolutely no explanation!  As of this morning, John, Patte and I were finally “TRAVEL READY” but poor Mike was not!  We assured him we’d send him pictures!

We made it to O’Hare (thanks for driving us, Terry) in plenty of time to get Mike squared away!  WHEW!

Currently we are in the United Red Carpet Room enjoying a bicchiere di vino!  Our first flight tonight takes us to Germany (for a layover) and the second flight takes us to VENICE!!!
